The House Ear Institute has always been at the forefront of education in the fields of otology, neurotology, and skull base surgery. Since the very early days of the House Ear Institute, physicians interested in otology and skull base surgery have traveled from across the globe to participate in the visiting physicians program. This program has allowed almost 26,000 physicians from all over the world to visit the House Ear Institute and the House Clinic for periods ranging from two weeks to three months.

In addition, the House Ear Institute has educated the leaders of otology and neurotology in the United States through its Clinical Fellowship program. House Clinic and House Ear Institute has been the destination of choice for the top residents in otolaryngology across the United States to pursue advanced fellowship training in the fields of otology and neurotology.

The House Clinic Alumni Fellowship Group (AFG) is comprised of fellows who have graduated from the House Clinic.  Since 1947, over 130 fellows have graduated from the House clinic and are leaders of otology and neurotology throughout the United States. The alumni group supports the current fellows and creates a camaraderie among the graduates.  The AFG meets annually during the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Meeting.
